Avatar Corporation Welcomes Ken Hall to its Board of Directors, Plans Expansion in the Baking Trade with Growing Portfolio of Release Agents
Avatar Corporation, a leading U.S. producer of food processing aids since 1982, is pleased to welcome Ken Hall to its Advisory Board of Directors.
Ken attended South Bank Borough University in London where he studied Applied Science; the National Bakery School in London, where he studied Advance City and Guilds Bread Making, Flour Confectionery, Hygiene and Sanitation; and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology where he studied Business Management. Ken is a third-generation Australian baker with over 40 years of Global Food Industry experience.
Ken’s extensive experience has seen him in five different continents helping establish or update bakery operations within companies like Bunge, Quaker Oats, Associated British Foods, Dawn Foods, United States Bakery, and Woolworths Supermarkets Australia. Currently, he serves as the Operations Director of Central California Baking Company, a division of USB, manufacturing Svenhard’s Pastries which have been in the market for over 100 years. Ken’s role is to facilitate a business turnaround of this historic bakery.
According to Ed Trauth, Avatar’s SVP of Sales and Marketing, Ken’s presence on the Board signifies an alignment with Avatar’s efforts to address unique challenges in the Food and Beverage industry, specifically within the Bakery vertical.
“Ken brings to Avatar a true depth of global knowledge from the baking industry,” Trauth says. “His firsthand experience with baking operations will assist the growth strategies of our expanding portfolio of bakery release agents as Avatar expands its presence in the U.S. with scheduled distribution points on the West Coast and, eventually, globally.” This will further Avatar’s extensive formulations of release agents and highlight the applied chemistry functionality in the discipline of bakery release agents.
